How To “Ace the Audit”?
Has this happened to you?
You walk into your office ready for a productive day. Before you finish your second cup of coffee, the receptionist tells you, “Someone from Jayco (or another regulatory agency) is here to conduct an audit.”
Do you panic or smile?
If you are using a biomedical service provider (like Quality Biomedical) that offers a free online portal with service and PM records for all your ventilators and O2 concentrators, you would be smiling.
If you have to pull files from a filing cabinet or retrieve them from “headquarters” (300 miles away), your smile may be upside down. ☹
You see, a significant part of a responsible fleet management program is maintaining up-to-date service records of your respiratory fleet. This would include at minimum:
- PMs performed
- Parts replaced
- Hours recorded
